With a new job and darker hair, in autumn instead of summer, I’m here.
Still without a bedroom cupboard, but with a new typewriter added to my collection as if that’s a consolation, I’m here.

My name is Gina, but you’ll see me go by ‘Ginger’ online. It is a nod to a childhood nickname that I despised but now kinda like. Funny how that happens.
I am a young woman living in a green city in Africa. I’ve only seen the stars of the Southern skies.
Today, I am almost 31 and a half. Once, I thought that was unimaginably and unattainably old. Once, I thought that Erasure was the coolest band I’d ever hear. Now, I can only happily drink half a glass of wine at a time and my latest hobby is knitting. Funny how that happens.
This is my diary, my scrapbook, my dreamlist. I’m taking notes as I learn, slowly, about living a simple, grace-filled life that holds me – beautiful, vulnerable, emotional, funny, imperfect me – in its centre.
